Annie Hernandez
Anna Marie "Annie” Hernandez, is an associate in the litigation department at Pathman Lewis LLP. Ms. Hernandez's areas of practice include commercial tenant disputes, title insurance litigation, and general commercial litigation. She was previously a litigation associate with the firm of Kubicki Draper, where she litigated complex tort cases.
Ms. Hernandez received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in May, 2001 from University of Miami School of Law. While at the University of Miami, Ms. Hernandez served as the Executive Vice President of the Moot Court Board from 2000 through 2001, received the Book Award in Bankruptcy, and competed in the Duberstein National Bankruptcy Competition. She continues to volunteer her time to the University of Miami’s Bankruptcy Team. Ms. Hernandez obtained her undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from Florida International University in December, 1997.
Ms. Hernandez is admitted to practice in Florida, United States District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida. Ms. Hernandez has served on the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association since 2006, and is currently its Secretary. She also serves as the Cuban American Bar Association’s representative to the Dade County Bar Association. Ms. Hernandez is also a member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, and Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She is also a volunteer with the “Justice Teaching” project launched by Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Fred Lewis in 2006.
Ms. Hernandez has demonstrated her leadership in other local civic organizations, including serving as the Treasurer of the Coconut Grove Junior Chamber of Commerce (“Jaycees”) from 2003-2004, and founding its “Third Thursdays at McLamore House”, a recurring mentoring project involving the local foster children community. She also served as a Director and Treasurer of the Dr. Rafael Pealver Clinic, a Miami-Dade Public Health Trust facility from 2000-2002.
Ms. Hernandez is a Miami native and is fluent in Spanish.
