Real Estate & Finance
Pathman Lewis attorneys are deal makers, not deal breakers. The Firm represents developers, borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, acquisition, development, construction, bridge and permanent loans, business acquisitions, multi-family residential financing, commercial financing, letter of credit facilities, loan consolidations and loan workouts. Pathman Lewis utilizes technology to its advantage which permits the Firm to represent its clients quickly and cost effectively in both small to large size transactions, including volume closings for condominiums.
The Firm's lawyers are experienced real
estate lawyers who understand the legal
and business aspects of a deal. Over twenty
years of experience in the real estate
development field allows the Firm's lawyers
to speak the language of real estate to
its clients, to brokers, and to opposing
lawyers.
The Firm's knowledge of real estate and
finance is wide-ranging. Pathman Lewis
is experienced in both commercial and
residential acquisitions and sales. The
Firm is capable of taking a real estate
deal from concept to closing and has represented
its clients in matters involving the acquisition
and sale of office buildings, commercial
properties, apartment buildings, mixed
use projects and commercial and residential
condominiums.
For property that has already been acquired,
the Firm provides immediate and cost effective
advice on leasing, including the drafting
and negotiating of commercial leases.
Hal Lewis, the Chairman of the Firm's
real estate and finance department, has
lectured extensively on commercial leasing
and is able to provide advice on the finer
points of this technical legal area from
both the landlord's and tenant's perspective.
Acquisition and leasing of real estate
also implicates the regulatory requirements
of Title III of The Americans with Disabilities
Act, a Federal Statute requiring accommodation
to people with disabilities. The Firm's
real estate and finance department is
well-versed in this constantly evolving
area of the law. The Firm provides common
sense advice on Title III to help reduce
or eliminate costly litigation in this
area.
The Firm is an approved title agent and represents a number of national title insurance companies.
The Firm's real estate lawyers work closely
with other departments in the firm such
as corporate, environmental and land use
so that a real estate project can be evaluated
from start to finish, priorities can be
established and a comprehensive game plan
for a project can be formulated. Our lawyers
are skilled at bringing real estate projects
from inception through operation, particularly
when specialized knowledge is required.
The Firm prides itself on the relationship
it develops with its clients, many of
whom have worked with the Firm's lawyers
for more than a decade. Service and responsiveness
are the hallmarks of the Firm's approach
to its client relationships. |
